Danny Lamb forced to retire because of serious neck injury

All-rounder Danny Lamb has announced his immediate retirement because of a serious neck injury.
The 30-year-old, who came to Sussex in 2023, suffered a disc herniation in his neck, which resulted in a spinal cord injury earlier this season.
Last month he underwent urgent neck discectomy and fusion surgery but has been told to retire on medical grounds.
A member of Sussex’s Championship promotion-winning team, he played regularly in white-ball formats and made his last appearance for the county in the Blast against Kent on 7 June.
