Paul Farbrace has told his failing batsmen to stand up and deliver after yet another defeat at Hove on Sunday, the side’s 12th in 15 white ball games this season.
The Sussex Sharks were bowled out for just 140 runs by Yorkshire at Hove in the Metro Bank One Day Trophy on Sunday, losing by a mammoth 184 runs with more than 20 overs to spare.
Only once – against Somerset in 2003 (191) have Sussex lost by more runs in a List A match.
That means that Sussex are virtually certain to fail to qualify for the latter stages of the competition after losing their opening games against Glamorgan and Durham.
