At Hove and Away we have concentrated on Ollie Robinson and his gang, on Farby and friends and on every dot ball and comma of the professional game.
We have counted the runs scored, the wickets taken and the money lost – and we have largely ignored the Foundation, which resonates more profoundly with many people across the county. That ends today.
“The Foundation is at the heart of everything we do at Hove and in the community,” says Sussex’s chief executive Mark West.
I had something of an epiphany when I attended the Foundation’s flagship event, the annual DIScoverABILITY day at Hove recently, on the invitation of Ollie Smith, the organisation’s digital and marketing executive.
