Another memorable day for Sussex cricket on Sunday ended with the team surging to the top of the County Championship with their fourth victory in seven games – and that’s despite that controversial 12 points deduction for incurring losses of £1.33m.
The victory over Glamorgan, who had shocked some good teams this season, by an innings and 98 runs inside three days, had the crowd singing “Sussex By The Sea” as glasses were raised and shadows grew tall on the verdant carpet of Hove’s outfield.
