After the season he’s had Tom Clark could be forgiven for wishing the end of it can’t come quick enough.
The left-hander missed two months with a knee injury and it flared up again last week, ruling him out of the game against Surrey.
“I just landed on it heavily again on a rock-hard square, and I was in quite a lot of pain,” he said after making 89 against Nottinghamshire on Wednesday.
“Luckily, there were no structural issues, just a bit of swelling. The ligament hasn't fully healed, but that's something I can manage. With a few meds and some ice, I'll be good to go.”
