Tired and weary, Sussex will need to bat well to defy Surrey but Haines should be able to help them

Haines only lasted two balls in the first innings on Friday but he fared a lot worse when Sussex began their second dig on Sunday 264 in arrears and with four sessions left to try and avoid their first Championship defeat of the season.
