Sussex have received a disciplinary penalty from the ECB’s cricket regulator after opening batsman Tom Haines was sanctioned during last week’s match against Yorkshire.

Haines was reported by umpires Ben Debenham and Tom Lungley after he was given out lbw to Dom Bess for 64 during Sussex’s first innings.

Match referee James Whitaker determined that it was a Level 1 offence for 'showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action.'
