Sussex have shed 11 players. But could there be another exodus in a year's time?

You’re looking back on the season and thinking that actually, all things considered, Sussex have done okay.

They had shed 11 players at the end of 2026 and lost Paul Farbrace, the coach who held things together during one of the most turbulent periods in Sussex’s recent history.

But a mid-table finish in Division One and some better results in white-ball cricket represented a good first season for Farbrace’s replacement Matt Walker.
