Sussex have already won once on their travels – against Leicestershire on a sporting early-season pitch in the opening round – and if they could squeeze two more wins out of the remaining six games while maintaining their decent record at Hove, where they have only lost once since May 2022, they will be in the shake-up in what already looks like one of the most open title races for years.
