Paul Farbrace offered a reassuring update on the fitness of all-rounder Tom Price after he went off with a twisted ankle early on day three of Sussex’s County Championship match against Yorkshire at Headingley.
The all-rounder slipped making a routine stop at deep mid-wicket in the first over and spent much of the day with the ankle iced up.
But Sussex elected not to call-up a substitute from the 14-man squad that travelled to Leeds. That would have automatically ruled Price out of the next game against Surrey at the Kia Oval starting on Friday which suggests that they think Price will recover in time.
