Sussex are boosted by the return of Ollie Robinson, James Coles and Daniel Hughes for their final Championship match of the season.
Robinson returns to domestic duty after a sensational Test summer during which he took 28 wickets at 9.32 against New Zealand and Pakistan.
It should be enough to earn him a central contract when they are announced next month - but will restrict his Sussex appearances in future.
The bonus is that the ECB rather than the county will pay his wages and the savings will be used to give Paul Farbrace and incoming head coach Matt Walker a better chance of putting together a competitive squad next season.
