But Sussex’s director of cricket was quietly confident that the extra responsibility would be the making of him.
Robinson has only been in the job for a month and four games so it will be the end of the season before a clearer assessment can be made. And it would help if he could call correctly with four tosses lost out of four so far!
But forget about bad luck with the coin. All the other signs are very encouraging.
