Three wins out of five - the only team with so many victories - and, but for the 12-point deduction, Sussex would be top of the County Championship with more than a third of the season played.
But it says much for the mindset at Hove at the moment that skipper Ollie Robinson and coach Paul Farbrace were far from satisfied Sussex completed an early-season double over Leicestershire at Hove on Monday.
Chasing 131 to win - it would have been 126 but for another five-run disciplinary penalty of which more later - Sussex scored at more than eight runs an over between two lengthy rain delays to complete a seven-wicket win just after 5pm, having beaten the Foxes in the opening round as well.
