Matt Walker is Sussex’s new head coach.
The former Kent batsman who went on to have a successful eight years as coach at Canterbury will take over on 1 November when Paul Farbrace becomes part-time director of cricket.
Walker is currently working with Warwickshire as batting coach and as an assistant coach with MI London in The Hundred.
Walker enjoyed a distinguished playing career with Kent and Essex, scoring more than 18,000 runs across all formats before moving into coaching.
