Paul Fabrace admits he will miss ‘hugely’ the day-to-day contact with the Sussex players as he prepares them for one final time this week.
But he has no intention of returning to coaching, either with Sussex or anyone else.
The 59-year-old’s spell as head coach ends with the final Championship game of the season against Hampshire at the Utilita Bowl, which starts on Thursday.
If Sussex win they could potentially finish third, but a more realistic target is repeating the fourth place they achieved in 2025.
