When the Sussex players pull back the curtains on Sunday morning what they see might well hold the key to the outcome of their pivotal Championship match against Hampshire.
If, as the forecast suggests, the sun is already beating down they will fancy their chances of a fourth-innings chase and a fifth win out of eight, with Hampshire ahead by 238 going into day three with one second-innings wicket in hand.
But if Hove is again sitting under a canopy of grey, sultry cloud as it was on Saturday then making by far the biggest score of the game will be a much harder proposition.
