Ollie Robinson could have a limited part to play in the County Championship run-in after he was recalled to the England Test squad on Thursday.
The Sussex captain took seven wickets on his return to Test cricket in June at Lord’s against New Zealand but injury ruled him out of the second and third matches in the series, both of which England lost.
Niggling injuries restricted Robinson to one appearance in the Vitality Blast and it was only last Wednesday, against Essex at Arundel in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, that the 32-year-old played competitively again after more than a month out.
The Pakistan series starts at Headingley on 19 August, the day before Sussex begin their six-match Championship run-in against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
