Sussex were expecting to lose all-rounder Fynn Hudson-Prentice to Hampshire at the end of the season, but Monday’s confirmation of the move was still a blow to supporters who have had a number of disappointments this year, with more to come.

Sussex will be losing this gifted stroke maker and challenging seamer for the second time. Fynn, 30, was born in Haywards Heath and first played for the club back in 2015.

But he was released the following year before finally working his way back to Hove via a spell with Derbyshire.
