Henry Crocombe has joined up with the England Test squad as cover for fellow Sussex fast bowler Ollie Robinson.

Robinson reported knee soreness after training on Friday ahead of the second Test which starts at The Oval on Wednesday and will have a scan.

He took seven wickets in the first Test, including three in his first over in what was his first Test for more than two years. Robinson, and Sussex, will be hoping there is no long-term issue.

But his misfortune means a massive opportunity for Crocombe, whose stock has risen rapidly this season.
