While plenty has been decided about the future of some of Sussex’s out-of-contract players, whether the three coaches currently working with director of cricket Paul Farbrace stay at Hove is still uncertain.

According to a report in Wednesday’s Daily Telegraph, batting coach Grant Flower is heading to The Oval to work with Surrey. When Hove and Away spoke to Flower after the first day’s play in the Championship game at Chelmsford he wouldn’t comment either way.

Nothing has been announced about the future of fellow coaches James Kirtley and Ashley Wright, but it seems certain that at least one of the trio will depart.
