Ollie Robinson is set to make his first appearance for Sussex Sharks in the Metro Bank One Day Cup for two years.

Robinson is included in a 14-man squad for Wednesday’s match against Essex at Arundel, more than a month after he last played for the county.

He has only played twice in one-day games for Sussex since 2018 and this will be his first appearance in the competition since August 2024 when he faced against Surrey at Hove. His last match for the county was on June 26 in the Vitality Blast.

Top-order batsman Joe Johnson, 21, is also included and could make his first-team debut after catching the eye with the second team this season and signing a contract for the rest of the One-Day Cup.
