Sussex Sharks made a brave effort to chase a target of 296 in their opening Metro Bank One-Day Cup game only to come up short against Glamorgan at Neath.
Fynn Hudson Prentice’s 5 for 62, which included three wickets in the final over, was the first five-for by a Sussex seamer in the competition since Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer both did it in 2016.
He followed it up with 63 and when he and Jack Carson were adding 107 in 15 overs Sussex gave themselves a chance.
