How gratifying it is to see the digital and very much 21st century return of Hove and Away.

Sentimentalists (i.e. me) might well argue that the origins of the most successful period in the history of England’s oldest county cricket club could be traced to a period in which apathy, inertia, executive level incompetence and failure to adapt to the increasingly demanding and commercial realities of a modern game reigned supreme.

And if the above description seems remarkably similar to current travails at our beloved Sussex County Cricket Club, well maybe it too heralds the beginning of a brand-new dawn.
