The Paul Farbrace tenure is rightly heralded as a successful one, rousing Sussex out of its malaise and propelling the county first to the County Championship Division Two title and then to the higher reaches of Division One where we find ourselves genuine contenders for a first title since 2007 when the Championship resumes in August.
Notwithstanding the recent financial earthquakes, you would have to be harsh not to consider ‘Farby’ to have been a fine leader of the club and signings have often been heralded as central to his impact. No one is right all the time though, and here I assess whether each of his signings was a hit, a miss, or a maybe.
