One hundred years ago a fragile magician called Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji played his first Championship match for Sussex.
Playing against Leicestershire, in Leicester, on July 10, 1926, Duleep scored 97 in a total of 319. Later in the month he made his home debut, scoring 115 in a total of 214 against Hampshire. In his next match, against Surrey at Eastbourne, he scored 76, followed by 132 against Middlesex.
