It's the 200th anniversary of John Wisden's birth - and Sussex will celebrate in style on Tuesday

Don’t forget to doff your cloth cap and wear something yellow at Hove on Tuesday, for Sussex are celebrating one of their favourite sons, its little big man, the great John Wisden.
The County Ground will be bathed in yellow for the opening day of the match against Surrey in memory of the player who gave his name to the most famous cricket book of them all, the primrose oracle, the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack.
The book’s as famously yellow as bananas and lemons, as sunflowers and rubber ducks, and it was founded, in 1864, by the man who was 200 years old at the weekend.
But Wisden was also a great cricketer. He is still the only player to have taken all ten wickets in an innings, all bowled. How can anyone be so accurate bowling roundarm where the arm cannot be higher than the shoulder? That’s lower than Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga. Overarm bowling was introduced in 1864, the year after Wisden retired.
