If Sussex can win at Edgbaston this week then they will definitely feel a tilt at a fourth Championship since 2003 is on the cards.
None of the players who will be in action have won there playing for Sussex.
And the county’s record in Birmingham overall is pretty wretched with just one win since 1982.
Even in those five seasons when Sussex won three titles between 2003-07 they failed to beat Warwickshire on their own patch.
