Breaking Boundaries sounds suspiciously like another unwanted white ball slog-fest. But no, it’s something much more meaningful than that. In fact, it’s something momentous.
The £1m initiative, which was launched at the County Ground this week, has been delivered by the Sussex Cricket Foundation and is supported by the ECB as well as Focus Foundation.
Its bold aim is to transform access to cricket for young people throughout Sussex. It will do this, essentially, by building a network of state school cricket hubs across the county, with each hub designed to become a centre for cricket within its local community.
